Application Process
Once you meet the eligibility criteria, gather your documents: current passport or travel document, proof of settled status, English language certificate, Life in the UK Test pass letter and details of two referees. You can apply online or by post, but online applications are faster.
After submitting the form and paying the fee you will be invited to provide biometrics—fingerprints and a photo. Your application is then assessed. Processing times are generally six to eight months. If successful you will be invited to a citizenship ceremony where you swear an oath of allegiance and receive your certificate of naturalisation.
